Embark upon a 7 night Murray River indulgence cruise, aboard a cruising vessel operated by river locals. Departing Sunday evening, get ready to indulge your senses as we cast off to explore the Murray River’s eco-system at its finest.
The 7 night indulgence cruise includes all meals. Let the boat's brilliant chefs delight your senses with modern Australian and European cuisine made from the highest quality seasonal produce. Also there are special meals for special occasions on certain dates (Christmas and New Year)
Abundant wildlife and magnificent scenery will be seen throughout your entire stay aboard. River Gums and Willows line the banks of this famous river and provide a perfect safe haven for birds and wildlife. Take in the towering cliffs and beautiful sandy beaches as we idly cruises by. At night, powerful floodlights from the boat provide a rare glimpse of nocturnal wildlife, especially birds such as night herons, owls and coots.
Lagoon cruises, on shore guided walks, an Australian themed bush barbeque with live entertainment and the Captain's Dinner make up some of the highlights of this extravagant 7 night indulgence cruise.

Please note that the itinerary changes a little for the 8 and 15 January cruises between Renmark and Murray Bridge, although you will still enjoy the same gourmet meals and quality experiences.
Your seven night cruise departs from Murray Bridge just 1 hour from Adelaide, where you will be welcomed aboard by the friendly Proud Mary Crew. Enjoy a buffet supper at approximately 8.15pm as you cruise and the ship's powerful floodlights illuminate the shore. It is a perfect opportunity to view the nocturnal animals of Australia in their natural habitat. Later the ship ties up for the night at Woodlane.
Your cruise continues upstream as you breakfast on a delicious buffet before a mid-morning arrival in the picturesque town of Mannum, the birthplace of the river boat trade. Here you may board the waiting coach for an informative tour of Historic Mannum. Return to the ship at the conclusion of the tour where lunch is served as you cruise upstream to Walkers Flat. Following dinner this eveningr this evening you will experience a guided Nocturnal Discovery Tour, an insight into abundant wildlife of the Murraylands region including the Southern Hairy Nosed Wombat.
After breakfast we depart Walkers Flat and cruise further upstream. Your cruise this morning takes you into Swan Reach. Board your waiting coach for a tour to visit the local museum and Almond Farm. Mid-afternoon experience one of the highlights of the cruise as you cruise through Lock 1 at Blanchetown. We moor overnight on a beautiful beach amongst towering River Red Gums at McBeans Pound. Tonight you will enjoy a fabulous dinner prepared by our Chefs. After dinner it is time to get the competitive juices flowing with trivia night!
Depart your tranquil overnight mooring cruising toward Morgan. Mid-morning will be an informative talk by the Captain on the Majestic Murray River. Lunch will be served on board before arriving into the township of Morgan. In its heyday, Morgan was one of the busiest South Australian Murray River ports. Board the coach to visit Waikerie and its heritage sites of this riverside town as well as Caudo Winery on the banks of the Murray River. At the conclusion of your tour re-join the ship for a delicious dinner and relaxed evening on board while we cruise upstream before returning to Morgan.
Is there a better way to celebrate the last day of the year than on the Magnificent Murray? After breakfast board the coach for a visit to the many heritage sights of this once booming river town. Reboard the ship and depart Morgan mid-morning delighting in the spectacular views on offer. Enjoy a drink on the Sun Deck or join in a card game as you cruise through lock one in the mid afternoon for an early evening arrival at Swan Reach. Tonight join in with the crew for a fun filled evening of live entertainment to bring in the New Year.
You will wake this morning in one of the most unspoilt and picturesque areas of the River Murray. This morning the Cruise Director will lead a walking tour on the history and significance of Swan Reach before reboarding for a smorgasbord lunch. Mid-afternoon we arrive at Big Bend where the cliffs are spectacular. A highlight of your cruise is a guided tour lead by an ecologist aboard a small boat through the lagoons and inlets of Big Bend. This evening there will be a traditional Australian BBQ around a campfire on the banks of the River at Big Bend with live entertainment again.
We continue downstream through some of the most spectacular scenery on the entire River Murray system. We arrive at Ngaut Ngaut – a historical Aboriginal site. Here with your Aboriginal tour guide you will discover carvings and paintings on cliff faces made 3,000 to 20,000 years ago. Stand atop lofty, ochre coloured cliffs where Ngaut Ngaut's traditional landowners the Nganguraku people, took in the beauty of the picturesque landscape. Marvel at footsteps in the cliffs carved out over thousands of years and get a unique insight into this area’s Aboriginal culture. Late afternoon arrive in Mannum for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a formal Captain’s Dinner.
Enjoy breakfast whilst cruising to Woodlane. There you will board the waiting coach for a tour to the Reedy Creek Environment. You will be joined by your guide for a tour of this fascinating area. Discover this permanent watercourse from waterfalls, through swamps and wetlands. Reedy Creek and the waterfalls played a significant part in the lives of the ancient Nganguruku and Ngaralta Aboriginal Tribes. Today, lunch is a superb buffet prepared with fresh local produce. This afternoon there will be more spectacular scenery before the vessel ties up once more in Murray Bridge, the Captain and crew bid farewell to guests and new-found friends before disembarkation at 4.00pm.
