Adelaide is where global cycling gathers to start each season. It’s a chance for riders to leave their wintry European bases and compete under the summer sun, to earn crucial points and be cheered on by passionate fans. The 2025 Santos Tour Down Under stages are a blend of tradition and innovation as the race covers 1198 kilometres across South Australia. The Santos Tour Down Under invites the whole state to the party by taking the race through South Australian regions. The race typically starts within the exciting Adelaide city street circuits, with the following stages predominantly being held in regional South Australia.

  • 12 Day/ 11 Night stay in 1x Executive Bedroom Serviced Apartment - King bed or 2x twin beds (includes spacious living area, a sofa, LCD TV, fully equipped kitchen, dining table and work desk.   • Day 1

    16th Jan (or prior arrival on the 3 day tour)

    Arrival to your Fully Serviced Apartments located on King William Rd Adelaide (tram stop just outside). Possibility for Bespoke Full day wine tour (with prior confirmation)

  • Day 2

    17th Jan

    Pick up from Bus Stop Meeting Point in Victoria Square at 9:30am for your bus transfer to Brighton to watch the start of the race. From there, the bus will drive you to the finish line where you’ll catch the race finishes and the podiums before taking you back into the city where you can enjoy the festivities in the Tour Village.

  • Day 3

    18th Jan

    First stop is a private viewing pen at the start line on cosmopolitan King William Road in Unley. Watch the riders line up as they head into a 115-kilometere day of racing before heading to iconic McLaren Vale restaurant The Salopian Inn. Enjoy a three-course long lunch created with local and seasonal produce – all with a McLaren Vale wine in hand. Just steps from the lunch table, watch three race pass throughs as the riders battle it out on this hilly stage.

    Watch the finale on the big screen before heading to the final stop for the day – Gemtree Wines at McLaren Flat. Here, soak in the stunning surrounds and enjoy a wine tasting and local grazing platter on the cellar door lawns.

    Transfer back to Adelaide CBD

  • Day 4

    19th Jan

    Spend the day in the stunning Adelaide Hills for Hyundai Women’s Stage 3. Depart the Adelaide CBD aboard our premium air-conditioned coach and arrive to the historic garden village of Stirling. The day begins with a light breakfast in a private pen at the start line as the women prepare for their final race. Guests will then head to Stirling Hotel located in the heart of Stirling, providing the ultimate vantage point to watch the women battle it out. Enjoy a multi-course seasonal lunch with drinks on the deck whilst the women pass through four times, before heading to a private pen to watch the nail-biting finish.

    Once the racing action finishes, head to Between the Vines at Longwood, a boutique cellar door nestled on the slopes of the Adelaide Hills. Enjoy a wine tasting on the cellar door lawns and reminisce on a wonderful day over a glass of handcrafted wine before heading back to the CBD.

  • Day 5

    20th Jan

    Free day to explore Adelaide CBD. Possibility to do the Bespoke Full Day Wine tour with prior confirmation.

  • Day 6

    21st Jan

    The men will take off from Prospect for the first stage of the race for Ziptrack Stage 1. The airconditioned coach will take guests to the start line at Prospect to watch the men ride for the first time in 2025.

    From there, head to Lobethal in the beautiful Adelaide Hills for a multi-course lunch at the brand-new Vinteloper Cellar Door. Opening late 2024, this venue will highlight the very best of South Australian produce alongside wines from Vinteloper – don’t miss out on the chance to be one of the first to experience it.

    During lunch, guests will see two King of the Mountain pass throughs from a dedicated KOM viewing pen – it doesn’t get more exciting than this.

    Watch the race finish on the big screen before heading to the final location, Applewood Distillery in Gumeracha. Specialising in small batch, handcrafted spirits that highlight native ingredients, Applewood Distillery is the perfect spot to end the day. Choose from a craft gin or wine tasting flight whilst enjoying a tour of the distillery before boarding the coach back to the CBD.

  • Day 7

    22nd Jan

    Head to the world-renowned wine region, Barossa for Heath Partner’s Stage 2 of the Men’s Race. Just fifty minutes from the CBD, the Barossa is home to some of the oldest vines in the world, providing the perfect backdrop for a day of food, wine and cycling.

    Jump aboard the premium air-conditioned coach and head to a private pen at the start line in Tanunda to watch the men prepare for the pivotal stage ahead – 131-kilometres of racing. A multi-course seasonal lunch will be served at FINO at Seppeltsfield – the epitome of progressive regional dining in South Australia. Feast on a perfectly curated menu that showcases all the region has to offer alongside some of the estates revered wines. Here guest will be able to see two race pass throughs.

    Next, complete the Barossa experience at Elderton Wines, soaking in the views of the 1894 Command Vineyard with a wine tasting highlighting the winery’s best drops.

  • Day 8

    23rd Jan

    Stage 3 for the Men’s race is set to be a huge day for the riders, featuring 152-kilometres of racing, including a climb up Knott’s Hill – a first for the Santos Tour Down Under and said to be tougher than Willunga Hill!

    Board the air-conditioned coach from the Tour Village and head to the start line at The Parade Norwood to watch the men take off for their third stage. Then travel to the Uraidla Hotel for a seasonal long lunch highlighting local South Australian producers in the Glasshouse Restaurant. The venue offers stunning views over the local surrounds including Mt Lofty and Mt Bonython. Guests will be able to watch the men pass through twice during lunch. Gather in a dedicated viewing pen to see the race finish before heading to Grunthal Brew for the last stop of the day.

    Here, enjoy a Glimpse of Grunthal featuring Grunthal Blue Botanical Gin, eBEER™ and Hesketh Wines 2022 Pinot Noir paired with three different local cheeses.

    Transfer back to Adelaide CBD

  • Day 9

    24th Jan

    9:30am Bus transfer to/ from Men's Stage 4 (or custom)

  • Day 10

    25th Jan

    9:15am Bus transfer to/ from Men's Stage 5 (or custom)

  • Day 11

    26th Jan

    Pick up via bus transfer from the Village in the morning. You will be taken to the start line where you will have a walk through before watching the start of the race from a private pen. Breakfast pack is provided at the start line.

    Once the race has started you will be taken to the Lindsay Head Terrace at Adelaide Oval for a multiple course lunch and guided wine tasting while viewing the thrilling twenty race pass throughs!

    You will then have a premium viewing of the finish line in a private pen before making your way back to the tour village in the CBD.
